Everyone has heard about the new law being passed around campus about the clean air act. This act has been trying to crack down on smoking around the campus completely. This is a hard ban to put on a campus where a lot of students smoke. All in all, now is the perfect time to quit smoking completely. Smoking does a lot more to your body and to your health than you think. Smoking can cause damage to your body that is not curable. . . .

Heritage event celebrates U.S. native history

Circle Legacy, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting ethnic cultures, the environment and youth, presented “Natives of the Americas Appreciation Celebration” on Saturday.

The event, lasting from 12 to 7 in the MPR and lobby in the Student Memorial Center, was host to a number of speakers, vendors, entertainment, foods, cultural education, displays, kid’s games and crafts. . . .

I’ll get right to the point. I, like many other students here, have a major problem with the way registration is run.

It makes sense of course that seniors get to pick classes first, being that they have the highest priority to finish up the classes they still need.

Strong start for MU wrestling

In their first meet of the season, the Millersville wrestling team showed there is reason to believe that maybe this year will be better than their last.

Four Marauders placed at the East Stroudsburg Open last Saturday. This is quite an improvement after only one Marauder placed in the same event last season. Head Coach Todd Roberts felt the result will give them a boost going into their conference schedule.

Every election, candidates on the right or left, discuss plans to make healthcare “better, more affordable and accessible,” yet today in America, 15 percent of our population has no health insurance, at a time when costs are rising.

Even with health insurance, they pick what gets covered, and what does not. Necessary treatments and medications may not be covered for reasons entirely their own.
