It is that time of year again – time for fevers, aches, chills, coughing and fatigue.  These are all symptoms of the hated and dreaded flu.  Last year, Millersville University’s Health Services had a special for flu shots, the “bring a buddy, two for $20,” but things are changing this year.
Flu shots are now free of charge at Health Services.  All students have to do is call and set up an appointment at 872-3250.
Some prevention measures can be taken as well in hopes of avoiding the flu bug, such as washing hands regularly, using a tissue when necessary, sneezing and coughing into your elbow, drinking plenty of fluids, exercising regularly, eating healthy, getting fresh air, getting appropriate amounts of sleep, cutting alcohol consumption, and avoiding smoking.
