On Saturday, October 13, the Millersville women’s lacrosse team will host a panckae breakfast fundraiser beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until 10:30 a.m. The event will be held directly across from the Dilworth Building just off of George Street.
For those curious as to what kind of pancakes will be present, rest assured one would not be disappointed. The breakfast will consist of De Wafelbakkers Pancakes, with a quality-flavor guarantee, along with breakfast sausage and numerous drinks.

The fundraiser should provide publicity for the Lady Marauders.

At 10:15 a.m. there will be a pancake eating contest, for those brave enough to continue to indulge. The winner will be rewarded with a grand prize of $150. The entry fee for the contest is $10, and the deadline to register is October 12th. To do so, send your name, your number and email address to the head coach Mia Hall at Mia.Hall@millersville.edu or to any other member of the women’s lacrosse team. There will also be a number of prizes and giveaways during the fundraiser.
Tickets will be sold at the door and before the event takes place which should be paid in only cash or checks, with the checks being made out to Women’s Lacrosse. For children ages 12 and under, the price stands at $4.00. For students with their Millersville University ID in hand, it is $5.00, and for adults interested in attending, it will cost $7.00. All proceeds will go to the benefit of the women’s lacrosse team.
The Lady Marauders are hoping to raise fan’s excitement for their upcoming season. There is no reason not be ecstatic! Coach Hall stated, “We just started our fall practices and we have eight new players to add to the roster. We have a relatively experienced group even with eight new players, and we are looking to pick up where we left off at the end of the season last year. We also just hired our new assistant coach Lauren Caminiti, who was a 4-year starter at Division 1 Temple University. We are thrilled to have her on board.”
Coach Hall continues to express her enthusiasm for the season ahead saying, “Our season goals for the spring are to revamp our offense and defense, get into the playoffs and to continue to push this team to the next level.”
The women’s lacrosse team opens their schedule at home on March 5, 2013 against the Wilmington Wildcats.
