Women’s soccer slips under The Rock on the road

Slippery Rock drops the Lady Marauders to 1-6-3 in PSAC play.

This past Saturday the women’s soccer team went on the road to take on Slippery Rock. But unfortunately, they were unable to come back with a win.
The lady Marauders lost 2-0 to Slippery Rock. The Marauders gave up one goal in each half. Millersville’s overall record is now 3-6-4 and 1-6-3 for PSAC.
Millersville had a total of five shots on goal freshman Megan Kelley lead the team with two of those shots. The two final shots on goal were made in the final 5 minutes, but the Rock’s goalkeeper denied the attempts. Goalkeeper Olivia Webber had a total of seven saves against the Rock.
Slippery Rock (8-4-1 overall, 5-4-1 PSAC) goals were scored by, Shelby Ward and Lucy Hannon. Ward scored the first goal at around the 17th minute. Hannon scored their second goal in the final five minutes of the game.
On Oct. 16 the Marauders will be on the road one last time this season, traveling to Bloomsburg to take on the Huskies. Game time is set for 5 p.m. They will end the regular season with four home games.
