Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services (SVPS) is seen educating a Millersville University student on the importance of sexual integrity.

This year’s 19th annual Wellness Fair went off without a hitch, which was held October 17th on the SMC promenade. Every year a different theme is chosen for the fair based on the seven-wellness dimensions: Physical, social, environmental, spiritual, emotional, occupational and intellectual.
The theme chosen for this year’s fair is “Sweet Emotion.” Millersville’s very own DJ Kevin Kaiser brought the tunes this year to the event. There were many fun activities to participate in this year, all of which helped to promote self-awareness and confidence.

Many vendors were present including: PSECU (promoting financial wellness), SVPS, the MU Fitness and Exercise Center, PA Counseling Services, MU Respiratory Therapy (teaching students how to give mouth to mouth to an infant), MU’s Health Services (giving out free flu shots), MU’s Peer Health Educators (who were handing out mood rings to promote the “Sweet Emotion” theme), the Campus Rec (who have new intramural champion t-shirts for this year), Med Express and many more.

Blue Rock Fire Department was also present at the Wellness Fair to educate Millersville students on fire safety.

Information was aplenty at this year’s event, and students were more then able to receive any information that they desired pertaining to wellness. The Wellness Fair is held in conjunction with the annual Breast-A-Ville and promotes awareness for breast cancer and all things related to the wellness dimensions. Don’t miss out next year; make sure to be an attendee of the 2013 Wellness Fair.
