This past Saturday the women’s indoor track and field team traveled to Geneva, Ohio, to compete in the Division II Challenge.
Vanessa Hower, and Kelly Kardos recorded personal-best results in the weight throw. Hower tossed the weight 12.08 meters, finishing 21st and Kardos tossed the weight 8.84 meters, placing her 33rd. While Ann Kovacs tossed the weight 12.78 meters, allowing her to finish 17th and record the team-best distance.
On the track, Sarah Fink ran her best time for the 3,000-meter run, with a time of 11:17.39, landing her in 19th place.
Six athletes had PSAC qualifying times, Freshmen Kayla Naughton and Erin Madison ran conference championship times in the 400-meter run, finishing in the top-10. Naughton placed eighth with a time of 58.90 and Madison placed 10th with a time of 58.94. This was the first season a Marauder ran the 400-meter dash in under one minute.
Sarah Mulvey and Elizabeth Reese had PSAC qualifying times for the 5,000-meter run. Mulvey ended in ninth place, finishing with a time of 18:38.23 and Reese finished in 12th place with a time of 18:49.38.

Kiara Allen also met conference championship standards in the 60-meter dash, placing 10th with a time of 8.08.
The 4×400-meter relay team comprised of Kayla Naughton, Amanda Long, Erin Mason, and Megan Meyer, ran a team-best 4:05.73, to finish in the 13th place.
Millersville travels back to Bucknell, this Saturday, February 9, to compete in the Bucknell Winter Classic. The meet will take place all day.
