It’s that time of the year again! Time to put away all shorts, flip-flops and bathing suits to make way for fall. Some say that they dislike fall and winter because it’s a little harder to have a cute outfit while trying to stay warm. However, it’s so easy to stay in style during the chilly months leading up to winter. With the right accessories and colors, anyone can pull off a cozy fall look.
The first thing to keep in mind is the change in color. Summer was all about bright, bold colors like orange, teal, hot pink, and neon colors. But now as fall comes around, there will be more brown, tan, white, black, and darker shades of red, pink, and orange (burgundy, amber, and maroon). These muted colors are great to wear, but they are also great colors to wear on nails! One nail polish color that’s been really popular lately is raspberry. It really gives a warm finishing touch to any fall outfit. It’s also very subtle in comparison to any bold fall color. So it’s great for people who are a little more conservative with their choice of nail polish color.
Hoodies are really nice to wear just to stay comfy and warm, but sometimes they can get a little redundant. Leather jackets or cardigans in any neutral color like tan, black, brown, or white would look great as part of a fall outfit. Really long knitted sweaters also work. Pair any of those with a regular t-shirt, skinny jeans and boots for a perfect, quick fall look. One trend that’s also been picking up is pairing a regular solid colored shirt with a piece of flashy jewelry to spice things up or draw attention. Large necklaces, rhinestones, gold chains, and large earrings work very well.
There are so many ways to stay warm while wearing a dress in the fall. A big favorite for many ladies is wearing a pair of thick leggings, a leather jacket, and boots. They look so cute together and are very warm. One of the most used fall accessories is the infinity scarf, or any scarf, for that matter. Be a little bold and try to go for a patterned one! They really bring out the muted and solid colors of the outfit. Knitted hats are also a cute addition.
Of course, makeup cannot be forgotten! The muted nail polish colors are also good to wear as makeup! Light and dark browns work well as colors for eye shadow, rose, plum, or gold blushes. And dark, bold lip colors typically work well for fall. But if red is a little too bold for some people, raspberry is still a great substitute: it’s warm, but not too over-the-top. Good fragrances to think about are vanilla, apple, and almond scents. They smell really good and can be used in the form of body spray, lotion perfume, or a scented candle. Even though the cold months are coming up, it doesn’t mean that style takes a backseat. A few more layers aren’t always a bad thing when you know how to layer your clothes right.
