Both teams went scoreless in the first half of action in what would turn out to be a very competitive match. Millersville goalkeeper David Brubaker was able to stop many scoring opportunities by the Senators before finally letting one in during the 46th minute of the match.

Lukas Grosse-Puppendahl scored his first goal of the season to put Davis & Elkins ahead by one goal. It only took 10:00 minutes for the Marauders to answer right back as junior forward Jamie Vazquez was able to net his third goal of the season in the 56th minute on a great look from freshman defender Ahmed Qaisi. The Marauders looked to build on this momentum and potentially put the game away.

Davis and Elkins would not go away, however. Just two minutes later James Pucci scored the go-ahead goal to put the Senators ahead of the Marauders 2-1. For Pucci, this was his second goal of the season and it looked to be key as they just had to hold the lead for just over 30:00 minutes to put the Marauders away and win.

Millersville would refuse to go down without a fight, though. The Marauders fought valiantly and in the 83rd minute of the match, sophomore forward Alex LaFever scored a crucial goal, his first of the season, to tie the match up at 2-2. The match would remain tied through the end of regulation and overtime would begin. The two teams would remain even throughout both overtime periods and this highly intense match would end in a draw at two apiece after 110:00 minutes.

Both sides played a very clean game as neither side committed a penalty throughout the entirety of the game. Goalkeeper David Brubaker put in a hard day’s work in the net for the Marauders, making eight saves in the match. The Senators had more shots on goal, outshooting the Marauders 22-19, but failed to come up victorious.
