The bands were remarkable and many brought something different to the stage. It was an exhilarating experience and one that could never be forgotten. The music played by Haerts and Future Islands was so different from what most of us are used to listening to. These two bands just had everything songs need to get your attention, from the beats to the lyrics, all encompassed into their music. It was magical and wonderful to see these people bring not only the music to life but let their creativity run wild.

Along with the tremendous amount of fans that came out to support were the food vendors which cannot be left out. There can be no concert without food and these vendors specifically gave this concert life. From kimchi quesadillas from Toki Underground to alcohol infused cupcakes from Crunkcakes it was a blowout and one you wouldn’t want to miss. The simplicity of these items and the large impression they made says a lot about D.C. and all of the creative individuals that make up that city. This event was an unforgettable one that was full of memories to last a lifetime.

This concert showed that life is all about experience and happiness. All of the positive energy flowing through the event was very inspiring. It was absolutely remarkable to see so many people laughing, smiling, dancing and just enjoying life itself. It allows you to appreciate the freedom Americans are given to do as they please and live life freely and to be appreciative of the opportunities given in this world. You must say yes to everything and never question life but take it by the horns and make it yours. Having this opportunity was a game changer, to live life everyday like it’s your last and be confident and the best at everything you do and to always put your best foot forward.
