Millersville couldn’t hold off Ship’s relentless attack.
Millersville couldn’t hold off Ship’s relentless attack.

Last Saturday at Shippensburg, the men’s ‘Ville rugby team suffered another crushing defeat.
With the score being 8-53, Coach Red said, “We are in the worst slump in my twelve years as coach. Luckily, the guys are still putting in a solid effort at practice. More than that, they’ve been working harder.”
Their next game will be at Rutgers Saturday, Oct. 25. “We will start winning matches again. Simply, we need to put in the work, stay positive and be patient. This slump will pass, as all slumps do,” Coach Red said.
Shippensburg and Millersville have played each other more then any other schools in the league. Both teams are equal in almost all aspects. Shippensburg’s success came from all-around better ball handling. With only two more games left, the guys are working hard to bring home the win.
The girls played a home game against East Stroudsburg. With a tied game of 14-14, the girls played a great game. The score came together with two tries made by Summer Brubaker, as well as another by Rebecca Davis, and also two conversion kicks made by Megan McGuigan. The team kept up morale the whole game and the 15 girls came together as one.
