Who doesn’t love breakfast? Besides being recognized as the most important meal of the day, it is filled with the most variety, offering foods that are both savory and sweet in taste. Luckily for Millersville students, they can have their favorite breakfast foods in both the morning and the nighttime on Saturdays throughout the semester.
The popular “Midnight Breakfast” offered by the University Activities Boards (UAB) has made its triumphant return back into the mouths and stomachs of Millersville Students. “The executive board and general members of UAB agreed that [Midnight Breakfast] is well-known for and should not have been canceled to begin with”, explained marketing chair of UAB, Aaron Jaffe. “I remember going a few times as a freshman and really enjoying the whole experience of Midnight Breakfast”, stated senior Jamie Tyre.
This time around Midnight Breakfast is back with a new location. In years past the event was held at the Upper Deck in Gordinier Hall, but students can now grab some tasty breakfast delights from the Marauder Express, Millersville’s very own food truck. Jaffe explained that the change in location was based on the decision that the “food truck was an innovative and great idea for dining.”
The mobile Midnight Breakfast can be found parked behind the Student Memorial Center on Shenk’s Lane from 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. This is offered as a convenience to students who attend the ‘Ville After Dark movie presentations. However students who don’t make an appearance to the movie showing are just as welcome to feast on the treats midnight breakfast has to offer.
Besides offering all the breakfast favorites (sausage, scrambled eggs, French toast sticks, tater tots, and a muffin) in one convenient box, it is also inexpensive costing only $1 in cash or Marauder Gold. You can catch Midnight Breakfast on Feb. 14, March 28 and April 18. For more information on Midnight Breakfast and other UAB campus events check out their website at http://uabmu.com/
