I began as a senator, then became a financial representative, then director of membership.

Are you involved with any other clubs or activities on campus?

Currently, I am involved with NAACP as the education chair, Artists Rocking Together as a street team member; I’m a peer mentor, peer specialist and a supporter of the BSU. … I was the youngest BSU president ever.

Off campus?

Off campus, I have done community service with students at an after-school program in Lancaster.

What do you think students need most from Student Senate?

Students currently need an organization that will implement a standpoint that embraces the unity of all students and understand the diversity of each individual. Everyone is not the same and we need to come to a common ground that is concise and that will further move the university in a position that complements everyone’s needs. We need to be able to communicate correctly with students so we can incorporate the changes that are necessary to make Millersville a more sufficient university.

What do you hope to achieve if you are elected president?

I hope that we achieve the purposes of Student Senate. I want to promote the general welfare of the university and to stimulate the cultural and social areas of university life. More so, I hope the whole executive board, including myself, meet all of these requirement s to help the student body. There is no “I” in team. We need each other to make this campus a special one.

What do you think students need most from Student Senate?

Transparency. The student body needs to be informed about the many issues facing this campus so their opinion can be adequately heard by the Senate so that we may act in the interest of the students.

What do you hope to achieve if you are elected president?

As president, I hope to work intensively to make sure Student Senate does three things. One, to roll out the Student Activity Funding Reforms as smoothly as possible, making sure the student body remains informed. Two, to make sure that Student Senate reaches out and becomes more transparent to the student body by holding meetings regularly in public places such as the SMC Atrium and the area in front of the SMC. Three, lastly I expect myself to adequately represent the voice of the students to the administration.
