The Student Senate meeting began at 6:36 p.m. with roll call. After two inductions, the senate began appeals for additional allocations. The first to step forward was Marauder Music Productions. They appealed for $423.92 to buy more drum heads for their equipment. They did not receive money previously from Finance Committee because of insufficient documentation. Marauder Music Productions then received the $423.92 in appeals. MUTV stepped forward next and appealed to buy a wireless microphone. This microphone is over $1,000, however they only asked for $1,000; MUTV’s appeal was then granted.

Entomology club was the next to present. They asked for $155.76 for t-shirts in order to promote their club. Their appeal was granted. Fashion at Heart was the next group to appeal. They asked for $197.75 for operating expenses. The original documentation did not satisfy the guidelines for Finance Committee. They want money for office supplies, transportation costs and on-call expenses. This club appealed for $197.75. This appeal was also granted.

The African Student Association requested $500 for shirts, cups and other giveaways. After some discussion, they were approved to receive $500. Best Buddies then appealed for $300 for national chapter dues. These dues allow one student from each chapter to go to a national conference at only the expense of airfare. This appeal was granted.

The Pennsylvania Council for Social Studies Millersville Chapter requested temporary status. After pleading their case, they were given temporary status. Tau Sigma then came forward and asked to receive temporary status. This organization has a GPA requirement of 3.50, and is only for transfer students. Their organization was then granted temporary status.
Student Senate is going to be purchasing a gumball machine as an investment fund raiser. It will be housed near the information desk.
