Have you heard of the word “Phluffing”? You might say, “what is that?’ Well, according to Cheryl Chapman, R.N., HN-BC, LMT, NCTMB, “PHLUFFING” is an acronym for, Personal Hand Lymphatic Undulation Flow and Facilitation. In a nutshell, Phluffing is basically the process of massaging your breasts two times a day. It can be done anywhere and at any time, with clothes or without, but mainly after you remove your bra.
Why Phluff? Phluffing helps the circulation with the lymphatic system that flows through a woman’s breasts. The lymph nodes are often restricted due to things such as a bra. According to Cheryl Chapman, some of the benefits of Phluffing include promotion of circulation of blood and oxygen, removal of toxins, and softening of breast tissue. Phluffing also helps you to become more familiar with your breasts and helps to reduce pain.
There are three ways to Phluff. Cheryl Chapman explains the first way:
1: You need to stand upright or bend at your waist
2: Cup your hands under both breasts and proceed to move your breasts up and down about 10 times like “fluffing a pillow”
A second approach to Phluffing:
1: Put your hands under either your left or right breast
2: You need to move your hands back and forth, left to right, about 10 times
3: Now perform with your other breast
The third way Cheryl Chapman refers to as “Spontaneous Phluffing”:
1: Take your bra straps and move them up and down to move your breasts
2: With your clothes on, push into your breasts like “beeping a horn”
3: Repeat both techniques about 10 times

When it comes to your breast health, maintaining and becoming familiar with them is very important. Happy “Phluffing”!
