MU students interested in writing, art and/or poetry should check out publishing opportunities in the George Street Carnival (photo courtesy of Millersville.edu).

The George Street Carnival is the Millersville English Department’s literary magazine and is published each fall. Students may submit pieces of art, poetry or prose to be reviewed for publishing in the George Street Carnival. Here are some of the different types of work students may submit:

2 pieces of prose
2 pieces of non-fiction
3 pieces of flash-fiction
5 pieces of original art
1 experimental piece: found poems, screen-
plays, the strange, genre-
bending, and unknown.

Publishing your own work is a great opportunity for undergraduate students, so keep your eye out for the George Street Carnival’s call for projects! For more details on submission deadlines, please visit George Street Carnival’s page on Get Involved.
