Nestled between Lancaster’s old brick buildings at 46 North Prince St. is the new Dough and Co., which has brought everyone’s one wish to life: completely edible cookie dough. At this month’s First Friday in the city, Dough and Co. offered 10 percent off as a grand opening treat to guests. The line on Friday was out the door, so expect a crowd if you go at a popular time. While the outside of Dough and Co. may appear vintage, the inside is styled modernly with hand done wall art and exposed brick, creating a fun and inviting feel even when jam packed with customers. There is even a small porch off the side of the establishment which was decorated with balloons for the grand opening. This will be a great spot for summer visits. The staff was extremely pleasant and efficient despite the large crowd from First Friday.

Dough and Co. serves their edible cookie dough just as you would ice cream, scooped into a dish, but they also serve other creations, like ice cream sandwiches. They don’t just serve chocolate chip either. Flavors include: s’mores, birthday cake, mint chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, fluffer nutter, oatmeal raisin, and their very own Lancaster batch which includes pretzels! You can get 1 to 3 scoops as well as a three mini scoops option which is about the size of one scoop, but lets you get multiple flavors. Dough and Co. offers a vegan chocolate chip flavor too, but for now that is the only vegan option. The chocolate chip cookie dough tastes no different from regular dough, maybe just a bit softer in texture. Dough and Co. is another fun addition to the many local spots worth a trip to Lancaster city and will certainly be a popular treat for students.
