The Ford Auditorium was filled with the sounds of Latin music on Feb. 9, sponsored by the Latino Studies Program. The evening started with the remembrance of Dr. Rosario Caminero; she was given the Latino Studies Award. Dr. Marco Antolin took the stage with a poem called “The Traveler”.

Where is the one place you can find dolphins clubbing humans to death, bears who throw smoke bombs, clinically depressed hamsters, and Elijah Wood all coexisting not so peacefully together? The answer is in Tao Lin’s latest novel to date, Eeeee Eee Eeee. The title, refering to the sounds dolphins make while attempting to interact with humans is one that is suitable for the bizarre ride this novel will take the reader for.

Paul Blart was your ordinary Segway riding mall cop, until one night it all changed. Blart is unable to get into the New Jersey State Police so he settles for the next best thing, the West Orange Pavilion Mall. Always dedicated, Blart keeps the mall secure until one night he encounters some skateboarding thugs that are trying to take over the mall.

Neil Young has been around for a long time. Aside from looking at old publicity photos of Young from the 60s, it’s kind of hard to imagine ol’ Neil as a young man, or as anything less than the rock and roll icon he is today. I mean, dude, Neil Young! Rockin’ in the free world! Harvest! Cinnamon Girl! I think it’s safe to say he’s put out somewhere around 800 albums since the 60s, and this newest live album, “Sugar Mountain,” has quickly become one of my favorites in recent days.
