"Just Say Yes," sorry Ronald

December 3, 2008 0

Welcome to the 60’s, where the feeling of “Free Love” is in the air, and men and women began flocking to the Haight Ashbury District with flowers in their hair. The pure devotion and passion for music filled people’s soul with peace, while artists like Hendrix, Morrison, Paige, Dylan, and Plant stood like gods at the pantheon of rock n’ roll.

Participation and support are low on campus

December 3, 2008 0

When coming to college I really wanted to be apart of the school spirit atmosphere like many Division 1 schools have. I really thought that school spirit would be better than it was in high school because the students coming to Millersville chose to come here because they wanted to be here.

Biological attack likely for America

Lately in the news we have seen the report of attacks on the city of Mumbai, India. We have all witnessed what could have been an attack here at home affect those who are innocent, in a political conflict in a hostile region.

Spitting leaves a bad taste in mouths

December 3, 2008 0

When a baseball player spits sunflower seeds at the bottom of the ninth inning with all of the bases loaded, I’m often willing to overlook it. When someone on a reality television show spits part of their food out after having to eat rotten cockroaches, I’m also willing to forgive. However, when I walk to class and see young men and women spitting wads of saliva, I am less than impressed.

A possible alternative to "Rate My professor"

November 19, 2008 1

Each semester, many students get a pleasant surprise in class: teacher evaluations. All non-tenured professors must complete student evaluations, while tenured professors are only required to do so every five years.

As Barack Obama addressed the nation after the announcement came that he would assume the position as the next President of the United States, I could not help but bear in mind the gauntlet which Obama eventually overcame. Due to the inconceivable incompetence of the Republican campaign, Obama was able to make history.

With the country’s fat asses in couches, eating Doritos and watching Celebrity Wrestling, the rest of the country was embracing the onslaught of slander from both sides like hungry pigs to a trough.
