Millersville was able to notch their first win of the season against Clarion this past Saturday. This game was also a close contest, just like last week, but Millersville was able to pull through and win 21-17.

Millersville played Clarion at Memorial Stadium, their first away game of the season. Clarion was able to put points on the board first, netting themselves a 1-yard touchdown run by Khalil Owens in the first quarter, putting them up 7-0.

But Millersville would respond quickly, putting up two touchdowns in the second quarter, one passing and one rushing. Mekhi Alexander caught a 19-yard pass from Jared Jenkins for the first touchdown, and a 2-yard run from Jaheim Morris put Millersville up 14-7.

Clarion would respond with a 32-yard field goal kicked by Jarret Esposito. Millersville would respond with another touchdown in the third quarter, on a 26-yard pass thrown by Jared Jenkins and caught by Christan Drayton III. Clarion would attempt to rally on a 28-yard passing touchdown, thrown by Michael Proios and caught by Quinn Zinobile.

Despite that, Millersville would be able to hold on and secure their first win.

The Millersville offense put up more points in this game. The team, as a whole, looked stronger, backed by another strong defense showcase, headlined by Isaiah Onuschak, who tailed 16 total tackles. Millersville would also rack up three interceptions, caught by Steve Sweeny, Garret Gox, D’Andre Blue-Eli.
